Similar to the appeal at Seagulls, there were half a dozen bands each doing a forty minute set.
We have been rebooked to do a show there on April 24th next year and hope to see another great crowd.

Our first New Years Eve was at Caboolture Sports Club, the place was packed with a sell out crowd and the joint was rocking.
We had the guys from the INXS Tribute doing the sound and lights and they did a great job, later in the night the boys got up and did a set of covers with an incredible lady singer belting out the songs and keeping the crowd on the dance floor.
Nothing like good ol’ loud music, a really good way to bring in the New year.

The Tribute Festival was a quite an surreal experience, here we were amongst 20 other Tribute bands all in their clobber at the same place, John Farnham, The Beach Boys, Creedence, Status Quo, The Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison and Elvis to name a few, and of course the greatest rock and roll band in the world, The Rolling Stones.
It was a great venue with a lot of work put into the whole event, 3 stages and lots of bands eager the play, the only unfortunate thing was the crowd was fairly non existent, possibly due to the fact it was a alcohol free event with only soft drinks available
Anyway the organizers have said the show will go on again next year, so maybe if it’s not grog free they will get a bigger crowd, it’s certainly a great spot for the event.

The ninth gig for the band was at Caboolture Sports Club, north of Brisbane about a 2 hour drive from the Gold Coast .
From all reports this venue is said to be one of the best rock gigs in the area with crowds usually up around the 750 mark.
There weren’t quite that many on the night but the crowd really do love to rock out. We have been re booked to play there on New Years Eve and will be the first act to perform in the brand new function room.

For months leading up to this gig, I’d heard several good reports from other musos and sound guys etc, saying it was a great outdoor gig with a big stage, huge production and, had in the past, had crowds of up to five thousand people.
When we arrived there I wasn’t disappointed, the sound was great with plenty of room on the stage to run around.
The crowd although large was not anywhere near 5000 but a big all the same.
The show was recorded and shown on big screens near the stage just like the real deal.
The crowd were loving it, and we look forward to going back at some time.

Rolling Stones Tribute Show First Gig the waterlogged weekend!!
‘Well !!’, Geoff (Bill Wyman) said, ‘if we get through this weekend of rain, rain, and more rain, flooded and closed roads and almost empty venues because all the summer holiday makers have flown the coop, we’re off to a good start.’
Meanwhile, I was remenicing, going back in my mind to the summer two years ago, standing on my front lawn with a big smile on my face because I’d just made the decision to do a Rolling Stones tribute show.
Sure enough we drove into Evan’s Head, parked out front of our very first gig, The Illowong Hotel and immediately, we all set off to the nearest Opp Shop to buy coats or jumpers.
That night around 100 turned up to see us, (the hotel had expected between 300 an 400), we got to do a paid rehearsal of the show and the small crowd were in a party mood.
I went to sleep that night feeling like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.
After two years of pulling this show together and numerous line up changes we were up and running or dare I say Rolling.
